I’ve realized that being half a Film Studies major means I’ve become one of those people who calls movies “films”

In Screenwriting today some hella hipster girl wrote this script that was pretty good but it was just SO hipster I couldn’t deal with it

It was about some photographer hipster guy with “tortoise shell glasses” who takes pictures of thin and pretty “wasted youth” with “model figures” at clubs and does cocaine and has all these girls in his studio dress up in American flags draped as dresses and his friend is in a band called Eyes of Eckleburg Jesus Christ can you be any more hipster no/no

I finally decided that even though I still might end up applying to random jobs after graduation next spring, my top goal is going to be an MFA program for creative writing

My Women and US Politics class is so wonderful but can be really hard on me, actually, because I am supposed to work within social conservative viewpoints sometimes and it makes me really unhappy. 

But anyway we had to read an article about the pitfalls of modern feminism and it was basically all about the troubles of oppression olympics, only the author called it “oppression sweepstakes”

I have a gay guy character in my script, and during Screenwriting when we were supposed to ask each other questions (but we couldn’t answer them so it was hella annoying), this girl was like, “So it seems that this guy character is gay? But like, he also plays ice hockey? So like, I found that confusing. Maybe you can clarify that.”

70% of the reason I am taking this ridiculously difficult Constitutional Law class is because it’s really interesting, but a good 30% is me looking forward to arguing with libertarians about Ron Paul

One of our assignments in my Screenwriting class is to take a scene from The Room, transcribe it, and rewrite it so that it doesn’t suck.
